The evaporative system (EVAP) keeps fuel vapour from the tank out of the air. This screen sends the standard OBD request that asks the control unit to prepare the system for a leak test (OBD service 08).
The app does not measure the leak. The test itself is done with external equipment, such as a smoke machine, following the vehicle's service manual.
Prepare the car and the equipment
Car stopped, ignition on, adapter connected and the leak test equipment ready, as the service manual describes.
Tap Start test
The app first checks whether the car offers this test. If it does not, the screen says so and nothing else happens. If it does, the app shows the precautions and asks you to confirm. On the free plan a short ad runs before the request.
Run the leak test
Once the car accepts the request, run the test with the equipment. The manufacturer defines when the test ends, so follow the service manual.
