Reminders

Being warned by date, by mileage or by both, with automatic repetition.

The Reminders screen warns you before something comes due: insurance, registration, inspection, servicing and tire replacement. The warning can be by date, by mileage or by both at once.

  1. Create a reminder

    Tap the floating button and enter the title, the vehicle and, if you want, a note.

  2. Choose the trigger

    By date warns on a set date, and serves insurance and registration. By odometer warns when the Target odometer is reached, and serves servicing and item replacement.

    Both criteria can live in the same reminder, and the warning fires on whichever comes first.

  3. Set up the repetition

    Recurring by date, with Every (days), recreates the reminder at the chosen interval. Recurring by odometer, with Every, does the same by distance.

    That is how annual registration and servicing every ten thousand kilometers come to be tracked by the app.

  4. Mark it as done

    Once you have dealt with it, use Mark as done. The reminder goes from Active to Done and, if it is recurring, the app creates the next cycle right away.

  5. Follow the list

    The list keeps what is Active apart from what is already Done. Swipe left to delete, with a confirmation.

If something goes wrong

Check that the app notifications are allowed in the phone settings. On Android, also check Disable battery optimization, on the Connection screen, because some manufacturers delay or suppress notifications from optimized apps.

It depends on the odometer being up to date. With the adapter connected the value comes from the car; without an adapter the app asks you to enter it, and uses that number. With the mileage out of date, the target is never reached.

Repetition depends on using Mark as done. Deleting the reminder ends the series rather than renewing it.

Set the reminder date a few days before the real deadline and record the true deadline in the note. For wear items, the Maintenance screen has a field of its own for advance notice, Warn at.
