Storage

Checking what takes space on the device, what is already backed up and how to free space.

The Storage screen shows the space taken by your records. It has two tabs: On this phone and Cloud backup.

  1. See what takes space

The On this phone tab lists the photos and documents attached to your records. There is no limit on how many: the ceiling is the space available on the device.

  2. Free space

Parking photos kept sets how many parking photos are held per vehicle. The oldest ones are removed automatically.

Only the image is removed. The parking record stays, with its date, place and map.

  3. Manage the attachments of one type

Tap a type, such as parking photos or receipts, to open the list of files. The ones not yet sent to the cloud carry the no backup mark.

Delete removes a file after the confirmation, and the app warns that it leaves this phone.

  4. Check the backup

The Cloud backup tab shows whether the data is saved or whether the backup is paused. The feature depends on a plan with cloud.

  5. Know what exists only on the phone

The app points out which files exist only on this device. If the phone is lost, those files are lost with it.

Make a file backup from time to time, even with the cloud on.

If something goes wrong

In most cases the space is taken by photos of parking spots, receipts and invoices. Lower the Parking photos kept value and use Free up space.

Dashcam videos are not part of that figure, because they sit in the phone gallery and have to be deleted there.

The oldest ones are removed automatically, according to the per-vehicle limit you set. The parking record stays, with its date, place and map; only the image is discarded.

If a photo matters, save it to the gallery beforehand.

The continuous backup depends on a plan with cloud and on an active connection. Check the plan on the Account screen and make sure the device is on a network.

Either way, the file backup works on any plan.
